Gonzaga Databases is a portal that facilitates the online consultation of various documentary sources from the Gonzaga Archive. Yet to be thoroughly explored, the Archive contains material regarding the history of Mantua and the family that ruled it for nearly four centuries (1328-1707). The project was created in 2010 by the Centro Internazionale d’Arte e di Cultura di Palazzo Te, in collaboration with the City of Mantua, the State Archives of Mantua, and the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, the Project activities continue with Fondazione Palazzo Te and the collaboration of the State Archives of Mantua, the Department of Historical and Philological Sciences of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Brescia), the Amici di Palazzo Te e dei Musei Mantovani, the Associazione Distretto Culturale "Le Regge dei Gonzaga", the Fondazione Mantova Capitale Europea dello Spettacolo.
The project is sponsored by the City of Mantua. Over the years several partners have contributed to its realization: the Fondazione Cariverona, the Fondazione Comunità Mantovana Onlus, the Lubiam and Camera di Commercio di Mantova.

At the moment, there are four databases available for consultation: a database of documents on Giulio Romano, a database of the Gonzaga Correspondence from 1563 to 1630, a database dedicated to Theatre and Entertainment at the Gonzaga court (1480-1630) and a database of the Artistic and Architectural Heritage of the Gonzaga family of Mantua in the city and in the province.

The research is aimed at the following development stages:
- input of new data in the existing databases
- the creation of new databases
- providing links to national and international databases on similar topics
